Private villa featuring a hot spring and sauna with views of Sagami Bay; scheduled to open in spring 2027.
June 26, 2026
ALMIGO corp.(Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Toru Takeuchi; hereinafter referred to as “our company”) commenced construction on June 1, 2026, for “the villa KADO” ( https://almigo.jp/news/164/), a project currently under development in Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
“the villa KADO” is a private, whole-rental accommodation currently being planned as the latest addition to our “the villa” brand.
Leveraging its location on the high ground of Atami overlooking Sagami Bay, the facility aims to create a space where guests can connect physically with nature, incorporating the sea breeze, natural light, and the unique bathing experience of a hot spring resort.

■ Project Overview
Facility Name: the villa KADO
Location: Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture
Number of Units: Two standalone villas (equipped with hot spring and sauna)
Scheduled Opening: Spring 2027
■ About “the villa KADO”
“the villa KADO” is designed to offer a guest experience that opens out toward the sea, making the most of the sloping terrain of Atami.
The facility is crafted so that the stay itself—through activities like dining, resting, conversing, and soaking in hot springs—becomes a time to realign one’s physical senses.
In addition to hot springs and a sauna, the property features openings facing the sea and serene terrace spaces, creating an environment where guests can enjoy the richness of gathering together over meals or a barbecue.
A stay here is not merely about lodging while touring local sightseeing spots; it is a time to leisurely reconnect with nature and the surrounding environment.

■ Regarding operations in the Atami area
In addition to “the villa KADO,” ALMIGO is developing and operating multiple accommodation facilities in the Atami area.
We are planning unique guest experiences for each property—such as the existing “the villa NOKI” and “the villa Atalaya,” which is currently under construction—by leveraging the specific environmental characteristics of their respective locations.
By interpreting the multifaceted appeal of Atami—including its sea, hillside terrain, hot springs, and history and culture—we aim to develop and operate facilities that enhance the value of the visitor experience across the entire area.
■ About “ORO hotels” and “the villa”
ORO hotels (https://oro-hotels.com) is a hospitality brand built around the concept of a “Journey of Discovery,” offering guest experiences rooted in the unique contexts of nature, culture, and the city.
Within this portfolio, “the villa” offers a concept of freedom—a place where guests can live as if at home while remaining close to the rhythms of nature, whether by the sea or in the forest.
In spaces that blend sophisticated design with a playful spirit, guests enjoy the freedom to savor time with family and friends, feel a deep connection to nature, and immerse themselves in the unique atmosphere of the local area.
■ Future Outlook
ALMIGO is currently developing hotels in various locations across Japan, including Atami, Yugawara, Hakuba, and Nikko.
Moving forward, we remain committed to developing and operating accommodations that harmonize design with a distinct philosophy, while honoring the unique natural and cultural context of each region.
