– The second original design project for the private resort “the villa” series –

ALMIGO corp. is currently developing a new hotel facility called “KADO” in Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture. This project is the second facility in the company’s hotel brand “the villa” series with an original design, and aims to create a new stay experience that blends the nature and culture of Atami.

●Project overview

KADO is currently being planned to be located on a hilltop close to the center of Atami city, in an outstanding location with views of the sea and the cityscape.
Within the villa series, the facility is positioned as one that further deepens the villa brand’s philosophy of “traveling like you live.”

Location: Hayashigaoka-cho, Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture
Number of rooms: Two individual villas (with hot springs)
Room area: Approximately 100 square meters
Scheduled opening: Spring 2027

●Design and concept

“KADO,” planned in the same area as “Atalaya,” our first facility with an original design, is a pair of private villas located on a hill overlooking the sea, offering a stay nestled between the city and nature, between the everyday and the extraordinary.
The architecture is designed as a “frame that captures the landscape,” allowing guests to feel the ever-changing light of the sea and the flow of the breeze from the living room and terrace.
The first floor features a hot spring bath and private sauna, where you can directly experience Atami’s climate and enjoy a “relaxing experience” where wind, heat, light, and steam intersect.
The second floor has a private terrace where you can enjoy a BBQ and conversation in a relaxed atmosphere while feeling the presence of the sea.
The flow of traffic that connects the living room and dining room to the terrace dissolves the boundary between inside and outside, creating a space where guests can relax and enjoy the rhythm of nature.
The flickering light, scents and sounds create a different impression with each visit. “KADO” is a unique Atami stay that further deepens the villa brand’s philosophy of traveling like you live.
